Allison Hotel & Spa

Allison Hotel & Spa

Newberg, Oregon

Oregon’s Green Hotel

The Allison was awarded the prestigious LEED Gold Certification less than a year after opening in the fall of 2009.

This project employed at its peak approximately 35-40 IBEW Local 48 members. Which included our electricians, sound and communication individuals and material handlers.

At the time of construction it had the largest solar thermal hot water system in the state, mounted on some of its roofs. The other roofs were utilized to generate photovoltaic energy which produces close to 10% of the electricity for the Hotel and Spa.

The NECA Contractor that was awarded this project took the time and invested resources to develop the solar features of the Allison. This beautiful Hotel and Spa has become a destination spot for tourists around the globe seeking to enjoy Oregon’s wine country.

This Project is an example of how commercial use and residential hotel space can be built in a collaborative method. Yielding a result which is not only functional, beautiful, environmentally friendly but enhances the quality of life in the community for which it was intended.
