Letter from International President Hill

National Day of Service - Saturday, January 19th

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

On Saturday, January 19th Americans will come together to participate in The
National Day of Service started by President Obama and The First Lady. Volunteers all
over the country will dedicate a few hours of their time to serve in their communities. I
encourage you to join in this exciting event and serve with others.

several volunteer opportunities in your area. I encourage you to show your solidarity by
wearing your IBEW shirts, hats and jackets. Not only is it an excellent opportunity to
contribute, but if we are to begin changing the general opinion that many hold of labor
unions and union members, we must let our neighbors know who we are and our
communities know we are out there.
 

I hope you and your members find time this Saturday to participate in the National
Day of service and be part of this important endeavor.
