IBEW Local 48 builds Portland's Tilikum Bridge

Here in Portland, bridges are part of how we get from A to B every day. Building something like a bridge is not something that happens every day. If you've been around lately, you've seen a new iconic bridge added to the portland skyline.

Not only is the Tilikum Crossing Bridge going to be one of the only transit and alternative transportation-focused bridges in America, it's top-of-the-line lighting and wiring was done by members of IBEW Local 48.

Save for the occasional emergency vehicle, this bridge won't have any private vehicle traffic on it at all.
