Single Strand Fusion Splicing Course On November 21

The training center is rolling out a new Single Strand Fusion Splicing course that will take place from 8AM to 12PM on Saturday, November 21st.

In this course, students will learn and/or perform:

1. Fiber-to-Fiber Fusion Splices: Prepare, strip, cleave, align, and fusion-splice bare single-mode optical fibers while minimizing db signal loss.

2. Manage Trays & Slack: Properly route, secure, and protect fiber splices using 12/24 optical fiber splice trays, ensuring minimum bend radius rules are maintained.

3. Terminate Fiber to Rack-Mount Infrastructure: Splice incoming fiber strands to single-mode (SM) LC pigtails inside a fiber optic enclosure kit, bringing field fiber directly into standard patch panel infrastructure.

4. Inspect & Clean Fiber Connectors: Perform proper fiber hygiene using Fiber Cleaning & Inspection Kit (including fiber cleaning cassettes, 1.25mm LC one-click cleaner pens, and 400x connector inspection microscopes) to inspect and clean optical end-faces prior to patching.

Space is limited to 14 participants, so sign up today!
