Sisters in Solidarity Fireside Chat On Saturday, October 10

In the spirit of unity and collective strength, join us at the Hall from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, October 10th for the next Sisters in Solidarity Fireside Chat!

The Fireside Chats are important spaces—where all members can come together to connect, reflect, and strengthen our bond of brotherhood and sisterhood. In a time marked by economic uncertainty and financial instability, the importance of solidarity is more critical than ever. As union members, we stand firmly in the belief that an injury to one is an injury to all, knowing that our strength lies in how we support one another.

This Fireside Chat will be facilitated by Lori Harris and centered on the theme “Dare to Lead,” inspired by the work of Brené Brown, with a focus on values, self-awareness, and courageous leadership. Leadership within our union is not defined by title but by a commitment to integrity, accountability, and standing in alignment with our core values.

As electricians, we understand the importance of safe / strong connections—how systems rely on continuity, trust, and precision. In the same way, our union depends on our ability to stay grounded in our core values and to show up for one another, especially in challenging times.

This gathering will encourage reflection on the questions that guide us:

– What values define us as union members?

– How do we hold ourselves accountable to those values?

– How can greater self-awareness strengthen our solidarity and leadership?

All Local 48 members are encouraged to attend, as are members of other trades and locals. Whether you are new to the trade, a seasoned journey worker, or a traveler, your voice adds strength to our collective future, and your presence matters.

In solidarity, together we rise!
