Craig A. Stewart

Craig Allan Stewart died unexpectedly, but peacefully from complications of diabetes in his home in Washougal, Washington on July 14, 2015 at the age of 65.

Craig was born on July 26, 1949 in Portland, OR. to Lee and Opal Stewart. He graduated from Madison High School and joined the Marine Corps Reserves. After his return from the military he attended Clark College in Vancouver, WA and became an electrician. He was skilled from a young age in home remodeling/construction by helping his dad in his cabinetry business and would take on any kind of project with expertise. He worked for Fujitsu for many years until he was offered the opportunity to work for Linear Technology where he worked for 17 years until his retirement a year ago.

Craig was a hard working, dedicated employee, who loved a challenge. He had an eye for perfection and wouldn’t settle for less. When he wasn’t working, you’d find him skiing Mt. Hood, working out, playing a game of foosball, reading a good book or enjoying a conversation with his friends and neighbors. Friends and family were everything to Craig. He was always lending a hand to anyone who had the need. He had a great sense of humor and was so affectionate, caring, compassionate, loving and a true friend to many. Craig was so loved and will be missed by so many from his premature passing.

Craig is survived by his father, Edwin Levere Stewart of Vancouver, WA; brothers, Larry Edwin Stewart of Vancouver, WA; Michael Lee Stewart of Portland, OR; and sister, Teresa Lorraine (Stewart) Shedden. He is preceded in death by his mother, Opal Lorraine (Wicks) Stewart Hickman.

A celebration of Craig's life gathering will be held at a later date. Please contact the family for more information or continue to check this site for updates.
