Necessary paperwork requires a certain amount of time to complete. When you are getting ready to retire please remember the following:
IBEW PENSION
62 years old with 20 years of consecutive IBEW membership or 65 years old with 5 years consecutive membership. Contact the the Local Union office at least three months prior to your retirement date. You must pay working or non-working dues until you collect this pension. Lillian Killen (503)889-3667.
NEBF PENSION
60 yrs old = 18.5% deduction, 61 yrs old = 9.25% deduction, 62 no deduction if you have not been out of the field for over 7 years. Contact the Local Union office at least six months prior to your retirement date. Lillian Killen (503)889-3667 Click here for a Vesting Status Request form.
EDISON PENSION
Contact the Administration Office at least three months prior to your retirement date. (503) 282-5581
DISTRICT 9 PENSION
Contact the District 9 Pension office one month after you stop working. (503) 221-1395

LOCAL 48 DEATH BENEFIT PAYMENTS
Due to a January 1, 2010 Bylaws change, retired Local 48 members are no longer required to continue payment into the Local Union Death Benefit plan. Retirees will continue to be eligible for the benefit.
DEATH BENEFITS FOR BENEFICIARIES
Upon the death of an active or retired member, the family or a representative should call the Local Union office immediately for instructions regarding necessary documents required for payment of death benefit claims. (503) 256-4848
