Eugene V. Guenzi

Eugene Victor Guenzi passed peacefully at Brookdale in Wilsonville. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Katherine; children, Doris Coit (Benton), Gary (Tamara) and Dennis (Kathleen); nine granddaughters; eight great-grands; sister, Verda Hansberry; and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Sterling, Colo. In 1946, he served in the U.S. Army in Kobe, Japan. He farmed in Sterling until 1966, when he moved to Beaverton to start a new career as an electrician. He retired from the IBEW after 45 years but continued working in real estate and retail jewelry. He is a past exalted ruler of the Beaverton Elks Lodge. He was loved and admired for his genial personality, strong work ethic, big laugh and sunny smile.

Eugene was initiated into IBEW Local 48 in March 1966 and retired in January 1987.
