Robert William Haglund

Initiated into IBEW July 1996 and was an active member.

Rob was born on July 23, 1963 in Tacoma. He was a great guy and we will miss him deeply. Rob was fun, hardworking, good natured and had a warm friendliness toward others his whole life. Rob went to Charles Wright Academy and graduated from Curtis High School in Tacoma. After high school, Rob attended Bates Technical College to become an aircraft and helicopter mechanic. In the 1990s, Rob worked in the crab and fishing industry in Alaska where he had many great stories of his adventures. After his return, he attended electrician school and became a journeyman electrician with the IBEW local 48 in Portland. Rob was proud to be an electrician. He worked on many jobs - from Intel sites to wind mill projects in multiple states. Rob enjoyed vacationing in Hawaii, photography and exploring. We will miss him.

Funeral will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m. at New Tacoma Cemeteries & Funeral Home located at 9212 Chambers Creek Rd. W., University Place, WA 98467. Family and friends are welcome.
